Vertical Spinner 1999 is a robot in ROBLOX BattleBots, it did poorly in the competition, losing to Bad Kitty in a qualifying rumble. It was built by Roblox builder Qwertythe300th.
Design[]
VS99 is basically a box with wheels and a spinning disk. In season 4, VS99 was given horns next to its disk and a smaller rear to allow for invertibility (a lack of which is what felled it in its debut season). For Season 5, VS99 received a complete rebuild, instead of being a simble box with wheels, a spinner, and a wedge, VS99 became a huge robot with a huge spinning disk and a thin y-shaped chassis. This rebuild made Medta Mayhem the tallest robot in the competition, with newcomer Pendulum, and HUGE, making a close second and third respectively.
Robot History[]
Season 3[]
VS99 had to participate in a qualification rumble due to an odd number of entries, it was pitted against the fallen champion Bad Kitty and the veteran Ultraviolent. VS99 managed to flip Ultraviolent over in the opening seconds, however Bad Kitty soon delivered several heavy hits to it, flipping it over on the final hit. Because Vertical Spinner wasn't invertible at the time, it lost by K.O.
Season 4[]
VS99 first competed in an undercard rumble against the veteran Doomstrike and newcomer Iron Wolf. VS99 mainly stayed on the sidelines until Doomstrike charged into it and hit it it with its mace. This hit knocked a tooth off of VS99's disk as well as flipping Doomstrike over. VS99 then battled Iron Wolf alone, and, despite unbalancing itself by spinning up its weapon, flipped it onto its side where it couldn't self-right. Just when it looked like VS99 was gonna win by K.O, Doomstrike self righted and drove around to prove its mobility. Time ran out and Doomstrike won a 2-1 judges decision and VS99 lost overall.
VS99 next faced End Game. This match was all VS99, throwing End Game over and into the walls. End Game tried several times to attack and retaliate but was either damaged or flipped over. End Game's weapon motor soon burned out from the repeated self-righting, which allowed VS99 to flip it over one final time. This time around, End Game couldn't self right and was counted out, giving VS99 its first ever win.
VS99 next faced newcomers Overdrive. VS99 spun up its weapon and attempted to hit Overdrive but Overdrive was simply too fast for it to keep up with. About a minute into the match, Overdrive's left drive motor burned out, VS99 was quick to capitalize and threw Overdrive onto its head. Overdrive self righted, however VS99 promptly threw it back over, this time around, Overdrive started smoking and couldn't move. VS99 won by K.O.
VS99 participated in the season 5 royal rumble, against constrictor, li'l kit 4, this way up, nogoodnik, foxic, racoob, orange beast, and grasshopper. it didn't start strongly, being rammed by an avengeful nogoodnik and catapulted itself around the arena until it landed near the arena spikes. it managed to get some big htis in from then on, including it's attack on racoob. it later approached orange beast and succeeded to hurl the australian machine out of the arena. however, it's pride came to a fall, and it was nudged onto it's back by this way up and launched ITSELF out of the arena. the rumble was won by li'l kit 4.
